When you interact with our apps, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

• Device model and OS version — to ensure compatibility and fix device-specific bugs
• App version — to correlate feedback with software releases
• Crash reports — anonymised diagnostic data to help us identify and fix stability issues

We do not collect precise geolocation data, unique advertising identifiers, or biometric data.

We want to be explicit about what we never collect:

3. Local Data Storage

All personal content you create within our apps — your data, settings, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using the device’s secure local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use a backup or sync feature.

The limited information we do collect is used solely for the following purposes:

• Improving app quality — analysing crash reports and feedback to fix bugs and enhance stability
• Feature development — understanding how features are used to prioritise improvements
• Customer support — responding to feedback or queries you submit through our in-app form or contact email

We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

5. App Permissions

Our apps request only the permissions required for their core functionality. Below is an explanation of permissions we may request:

• Notifications — to deliver timely alerts, reminders, and updates at times you choose
• Precise Scheduling (Android) — to trigger time-sensitive features at exact times, even in battery-saving modes
• Microphone (optional) — only if you use voice-command features; audio is processed entirely on-device and never transmitted
• Do Not Disturb access (Android, optional) — to suppress interruptions during focus or quiet periods, if you choose to enable this feature

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking a permission will disable the related feature but will not affect other app functionality.

6. Data Retention

Local data (your in-app content and preferences) is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. We have no ability to access or delete this data remotely.

Feedback submissions are retained on our secure servers for up to 24 months from the date of submission, after which they are permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. These include:

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Feedback data stored on AWS S3 is encrypted at rest using AES-256
• Access to our backend systems is restricted to authorised personnel only
• We do not store sensitive personal data on our servers

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions where a higher age applies, such as the EU under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate parental consent, please contact us immediately at contact@smartechapps.com and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
